AtrimusRx is taking the next step in personalized pharmaceutical manufacturing by establishing Px™ – Prescription Precision as a framework for the development of more precise, patient-specific medicines. Px – Prescription Precision has now been registered as an EU trademark, covering pharmaceuticals, medical software and AI, as well as customized pharmaceutical manufacturing and 3D printing.
On September 1, 2026, Px – Prescription Precision was registered as an EU trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), under registration number 019318267, with AtrimusRx AB as the proprietor.
The registration forms part of AtrimusRx’s long-term development of Atrimus Px™ – a framework bringing together pharmacy, personalized pharmaceutical manufacturing and technology.
From standardized dosing to Prescription Precision
The modern pharmaceutical industry is largely built around standardization. Medicines are manufactured in a limited number of strengths and dosage forms, and treatment is subsequently adapted to the options that are commercially available.
But patients are not standardized.
Children may require doses that are not commercially available. Some patients may have difficulty using a particular dosage form. Others may require a strength or formulation that is simply not available on the market.
AtrimusRx uses the term Prescription Precision to describe the next step: enabling a prescribed treatment, where pharmaceutically and medically feasible, to be translated into a medicine with a strength and dosage form adapted to the individual patient’s needs.
This is the foundation of Px™ – Prescription Precision.
Px™ – when the prescription drives manufacturing
Additive pharmaceutical manufacturing, often referred to as 3D printing of medicines, is changing the possibilities for how small-scale and personalized pharmaceutical manufacturing can be organized.
Instead of being limited to selecting from a small number of predefined standard strengths, digitally controlled manufacturing can enable medicines with individually adapted doses and dosage forms.
AtrimusRx has established extemporaneous pharmaceutical manufacturing within community pharmacy, where additive manufacturing forms part of the manufacturing process.

A framework that extends beyond 3D printing
Prescription Precision is not solely about the manufacturing technology itself.
For personalized pharmaceutical manufacturing to develop on a larger scale, several components need to work together: pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, data, digital systems and clinical decision support.
This is also reflected in the scope of the trademark registration.
Class 5 – pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical products
The registration covers, among other things, pharmaceutical preparations for human use, as well as medical and diagnostic preparations.
Class 9 – medical software and AI
The registration covers, among other things, software relating to the medical field, medical decision support systems, AI software for healthcare, and software for data and database management.
Class 40 – customized pharmaceutical manufacturing and 3D printing
The registration covers, among other things, custom manufacture of pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals and medical devices, as well as custom 3D printing.
Together, these areas create the foundation for developing Px™ beyond a single manufacturing technology.
From medicine shortages to Prescription Precision
AtrimusRx was founded in 2016 and has since worked with pharmaceutical supply and solutions for situations in which standard medicines are unavailable.
That experience has also highlighted another challenge: a medicine may be available on the market while the specific strength or dosage form required by an individual patient is not.
Atrimus Px™ is a continuation of the same fundamental idea that has shaped AtrimusRx from the beginning – that treatment should not have to stop at the limitations of the existing pharmaceutical supply.
With Prescription Precision, the perspective shifts from asking:
“Which available medicine is the best fit?”
to:
“Which medicine does this patient need?”
